Cornelius Z. Lopez, Sr., age 88, resident of Austin passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2000. Mr. Lopez was preceeded in death by his beloved wife Emilia G. Lopez in 1989. Survivors include: Beloved Children; Mrs. Micaela L. Hernandez and Husband Refugio, Cornelius G. Lopez, Jr. and Wife Vivian, Brothers; Henry Lopez and Wife Rosa, Ray Lopez and Wife Tammy, all of Austin, Sisters; Antonia Vega and Husband Epifanio of Austin, Sally Navarro and Husband Paul and Frances Villalobos and Husband Marcos, both of Wisconsin. Mr. Lopez is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Prayer service will be held on Wednesday 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Thursday 10:00am at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 200 Brushy St., Rev. Mike Dobbs to officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. The Lopez Family wishes to express their gratitude to the Duval Gardens Nursing Home Staff for their care and love given to our father during his illness.
