John Ernest (JC) Cardenas 1950-2011 Our beloved John Ernest Cardenas, age 61 resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 24, 2011.
Mr. Cardenas is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Elida Cardenas; children Cindy Marie Ribera and spouse Anthony, John Ernest Cardenas Jr., Anthony Garcia, Christopher Lee Cardenas and spouse Eloise, Sophie DeAnn Cardenas; grandsons Nicholas, Joshua, Matthew Ribera, John Christopher Cardenas, Jonathan Herrera Cardenas and Christian John Anthony Cardenas; granddaughter Liliana Irene Cardenas; siblings Dolores Portillo, Elizabeth Garcia, Frances Limon and Eligardo Cardenas Jr.
He was preceded in death by father Eligardo Cardenas and mother Sophie Cardenas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Garcia Jr., Lupe Portillo Jr., Louis Limon Jr., Joe Hernandez, Bryan Vela , Arthur Herrera, Jesse Herrera and George Arnold.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Wednesday December 28th, 2011 at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Thursday Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery 2800 Hancock Drive.
