Manuel De La Cruz 1941-2011Our beloved Manuel De La Cruz, age 70, a resident of Austin, TX, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 22, 2011. He is survived by the love of his life, Paula Limon De La Cruz, his wife of 50 years; his children, Anthony (Tony) De La Cruz and Donna Perrin; brother, Jesse De La Cruz; sister, Dora Gross, Sylvia Garcia and husband Clyde; grandchildren, Priscilla, Jonathan, Paige, Elisiana, Alexis, Derrick and Tomi; great-grandchildren Angel, Eli, Seth and Zoe. He is preceded in death by his son, Don De La Cruz; parents, Juan and Andrea De La Cruz. Manuel lived for his family and was the happiest when his children and grandchildren gathered in his home for long visits. He was a devoted Longhorn fan who enjoyed camping and traveling. Pallbearers are Michael Limon, Charlie Rodriguez, Jonathan Perrin, Manuel Vasquez Jr., David De La Cruz, Ray Macias, Lupe Marquez Jr., and Gilbert Estrada; Honorary Pallbearers are Tom Limon, Pete Limon, Jimmy Torres and Salvador Capilla. Visitation followed by Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 25th at 7:30 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home. A Christian mass will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery. Manuel?s love for his family will be treasured forever.
