Our beloved Jimmie Acuna, 67, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, after a 10 year battle with Cancer. Preceded in death by Parents; Manuel and Joyce Acuna. Survived by his beloved Wife; Gloria Acuna, 4 Children; James (Jon Miller) Acuna, Gilbert (Emma) Acuna, Margaret (Louis) Hernandez, Graciela (Chris Flores) Acuna, 1 Sister; Susan (Tony) Carrero, 1 Brother; Gilbert (Lourdes) Acuna, 1 Step Sister; Esther Gonzales, 9 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Granddaughter due in November. Recitation of Holy Rosary will be on Thursday at 7:00pm at Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 1 pm at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mr. Acuna was a Veteran of U.S. Navy and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was employed by Commemorative Brands, Inc. for 37 years until his retirement.
