Lana Jean Lawrence Lutringer 1953-2011Lana Jean Lutringer, 57, of Highland Haven, TX lost her long battle with cancer on Saturday July 30. She was born on November 11, 1953 in Oakland, California to the late Joe Bob Lawrence Jr. of Harlingen, TX and Bettyray Allen Lawrence of Georgetown. She Married Bruce Lutringer in 1978 and they began their lives together in San Marcos and Mesquite before deciding to raise a family in Austin, TX. They relocated to Highland Haven, TX after Lana?s retirement. Lana graduated from Harlingen High School in 1972 and received a BA in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University in 1979. Lana is survived by two children: Stephanie Brie Lutringer RN,BSN of Temple; and Private First Class Keaton Hunter Lutringer of Highland Haven. She is also survived by her mother,Bettyray Lawrence and three siblings: Kathleen Lawrence of Austin, Joe Bob Lawrence III of Winchester, VA, Lt Col Michael Lawrence of Ft Lewis, WA., and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Lana retired from the State of Texas in 2009 where she worked for The Texas Water Development Board. Lana loved her family and many friends. She loved Life and Shopping. A viewing will be held Friday, August 5 from 7-9am, followed by a service at 9:30 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel in Austin, TX.
