Our beloved Charlie Hernandez, 81, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, March 28th, 2011. Preceded in death by his Parents; Jesus and Guadalupe Pe?a Hernandez, Mother of His Children; Emilia Sanchez Hernandez, 3 Sisters; Rosie Cerme?o, Guadalupe ?Pita? Ironside and Mary Casta?eda, 1 Brother; Sonny Hernandez, one Niece; Nancy Baladran. Mr. Hernandez was a retired U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country proudly and honorably.Survived by his Children from Emilia Sanchez Hernandez; Carlos Hernandez, Elizabeth D. Cortez, Rico Hernandez, Milly Hernandez, and John Hernandez, 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Wife; Leandra R. Hernandez, Daughters; Leann Hernandez, Melinda Maldonado, Step-Children; Janie Torres, Tomas Maldonado, Paul Maldonado, Michael Maldonado, 23 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary, Thursday at 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Funeral Ceremonies, Friday at 11:00am at the Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Internment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
