Our beloved Charles (Charlie) G. Chapa, age 57, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 02, 2000. He is survived by wife of 14 years, Pat Douglas; children and their spouses, Roxane Gonzales and Fernando, Edward Chapa and Debbie, Carl Chapa and Katrina Martinez, Marcos Chapa, Michelle Bayles and Darin; Mother of his children, Dolores (Dottie) Chapa, all of Austin. Brother; Tony Chapa of Lubbock, Tx., Sisters; Velia Ancira of Washinton, Rachel Euresti of Lubbock, Tx., and Ramona Carrillo of Dallas, Tx. Also survived by 18 grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Also survived by 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Jesusa Chapa; son, Adam Lee Chapa Sr.; brothers Alfonso Jr., Wilbert, and Oscar Chapa; sisters Minerva Watson and Manuela Martinez.
Recitation of rosary Friday, 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, 9:30am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Fernando Gonzales, Robert Watson Carlos Martinez, Arthur Lung, Emil Gonzales, Wilbert Chapa, Ron Ross, and Frank Barron.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons.
