Toshiko Walters of Austin, TX, age 81 passed away March 8, 2010. She was born in Tokyo, Japan to Takejiro and Tome Inoue.Toshiko met the love of her life, George Walters while he was stationed in Japan. She proudly served as an Army wife traveling with her husband wherever he was assigned. She enjoyed Japanese music, cultural events and vacationing with her family. She is survived by her sons Glenn and wife Nelda from San Antonio and Lee and wife Diane of Austin; five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sisters Shizue Fawbush and husband Glenn, from Montgomery, AL, and Katsuyo and Chiyoko from Tokyo, Japan. She also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces in Japan and Montana whom she deeply loved. Toshiko is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, George G. Walters. Parents, Takejiro and Tome Inoue and sisters, Masae, Yaiko, and Miyoko. A Viewing will be on March 12 from 3-5 pm at Mission Funeral Home. A Private Family service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery at a later date.
