Louisa D. Vallejo 1920- 2011 Our beloved Louisa Duran Vallejo, age 90, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. The light you shined to all who's life you touched is now gone but forever burns in our hearts. The elegance of your presence is no longer here but is now gracing the heavens. There is a new star in the sky that God has put in its place. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alfredo Vallejo Sr.; son Francisco Vallejo III; son-in-law Ignacio Rangel Jr. and grandson Michael Rangel III. She is survived by her children Mary Ellen Rangel, Ruben Vallejo, Adolfo Vallejo (Gloria), Evangelina Herrera (Joe), Gabriel Vallejo (Adelita), Laura Hernandez (Jesus), Alfredo Vallejo Jr. (Carolyn), Richard Vallejo (Yvonne), Avelia Menchaca (Robert), Patrick Vallejo (Veronica) and Margaret Powers (David); 32 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday February 18, 2011 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street(South). Recitation of Holy Rosary 6:30 p.m., Friday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (South). Mass of Christian burial 11:00 a.m., Saturday February 19, 2011 at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church 9110 U. S. Highway 183 South with Father James Martin as celebrant. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons: Eddie Vallejo, Orlando Vallejo, Joel J. Garcia, Rene G. Vallejo, Phillip Hernandez, Justin C. Vallejo, Nicholas Vallejo and John Robert Menchaca. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nurses Angela and Mary Beth from Heart to Heart Hospice.
