Stella Gonzales was born in Louisiana on February 18, 1926, and passed away on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011. She was preceded in death by her Mother; Erma Sanchez, step-dad Paul Sanchez, Husband; Sonny Gonzales, Son; David Gonzales and adopted sisters; Ann Alvarado and Gloria Adams. She is survived by Daughter; Erma Gonzales, adopted Sisters; Josephine Gonzales, Rosa Tinajero(California)and Lucille Herrera; adopted Brothers; Julian Gonzalez and Henry "Hank" Gonzalez and several Nieces and Nephews. She is survived by her longtime friend Bartolo Salazar, who was very instrumental in helping care for Stella during her long illness. Viewing of the body will be at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez (512-476-4355) Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 300 E. Monroe St.(512) 442-5844) on Friday, January 28th, 2011 at 10:30am, where she was a faithful member for many years. Internment will be at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35 (512-442-4252) following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church Endowment Fund or a charity of your choice.
