John Paul Diaz Sr. 1921- 2010 Our beloved John Paul Diaz Sr., age 89, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Diaz Sr., son George Diaz; daughters Theresa Diaz Rangel and Irene Diaz DeLuna.
Mr. Diaz is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Teresa M. Diaz; children John Paul Diaz Jr. (Vera), Maria R. Ortiz (Jose), Joe M. Diaz (Beatrice), Victoria D. Gonzales (Jessie), Victor Diaz (Rosa), Yolanda Sanchez (Pedro), Gilbert Diaz, Richard B. Diaz (Linda), Elvia Luna (Valentino), Ricardo Diaz, Paul B. Diaz (Sarah), Sylvia Herrera (7John); 60 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Helen Diaz-Camarillo; brother Joe D. Diaz, Robert Diaz and Amador (Tito) Diaz.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian burial 10:00 a.m., Friday at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
