Obituary of Jesus Segovia

Our beloved husband,father,brother, and friend Mr. Jesus E. (Jesse) Segovia, age 63, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 21, 2000. He was a long-time member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church and other ministry groups. Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Beatrice A. Segovia; sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse Joe Segovia Sr. and wife Pat, Steve Sr. and wife Mary Alice , Gabriel Segovia, all of Austin, James and wife Janie of Okanawa, Japan; also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; He leaves behind his brothers Joe and wife Irene Segovia, Tony and wife Lorenza Segovia, Fred Machado, Roy and wife Mary Machado, Robert Machado; sisters, Teresa and husband Guadalupe Rodriguez, Eva and husband Julian Trevino, Connie and husband Armando Valdez, Delores and husband Abraham Ruiz, Sylvia and husband Robert Escalante, He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Recitation of rosary Monday, 7:30pm at the Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are sons, Jesse Joe Segovia Sr. and Steve Segovia Sr., Mack Martinez Jr., Paul Garcia, Ricardo Fraustos, and Rudy Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are his co-workers and friends from Travis County sign shop.
The Family wishes to thank those who have had Jesse in their prayers and thoughts. The Family also wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to his many caretakers including Dr. Kampe, Austin Hospice, and the staff that knew him at Texas oncology Cancer Center and also the Staff at St. David?s Hospital.
