Mrs. Francisca M. Medel Our beloved Francisca M. Medel, age 96, was called to her rest by our Heavenly father on June 8th, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pablo Medel, her daughter Sulema Medel, her grandchildren, Henry Medel Jr., Marco Antonio Medel, Evita Medel, and Robert M. Medel Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Medel, Gloria Nassour, Olivia Medel, Zulema Fuentes, Mercedes Ciani, Mary Ann Medel; sons, Robert Medel, Henry Medel, Oscar Medel; 31 grandchildren; 60 great-grand children; and 28 great-great grandchildren.
Francisca, ?Welita? was a loving mother and grandmother and will be extremely missed by everyone she touched.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Bartos, Hospice Austin, Nurse Shannon and the rest of the staff for their loving care and support.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
