Our beloved Abel M. Moreno, 74, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the V.A. Hospital in Temple, Texas after a lengthy illness. Mr. Moreno was a veteran of the Korean War, serving his country proudly and honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp.Preceded in death by his Parents; Fortunato and Trinidad Morua Moreno, Son; Abel Moreno, Jr.(Di Di), 2 Brothers; Joe and Roy Moreno.
Survived by his beloved Wife of 54 Years; Cecilia ?Cici? Moreno, Best Friends; Janie and Jonathon Villapando who called him ?Tata?, 3 Brothers; Elias Moreno, Fortunato Moreno, Jr., Ernest Moreno, Sisters; Marilyn Moreno, Dolores Balusek, Gloria Martinez, Dora Tanton, Julie Moreno, Step-Mother; Dora Solis and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Recitation of Holy Rosary, Wednesday at 7:00pm at Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday at 11:00am at Dolores Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Albert Ruiz officiating. Internment will follow Assumption Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
