Alice Rivas LunaAlice Rivas Luna, born June 22, 1935 in Austin, Texas died March 7, 2010 in Austin surrounded by her family. She was strong in her faith and loving of her family. A giving person who loved to cook, watch novellas, play lotto, and enjoy pan dulce with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Santiago and Elena Rivas, husband Joe Y. Luna, brother Edward Rivas, son Randolph R. Luna, grandson Francisco Joe Luna, son-in-law James N. Roberts, and dear friend Dorothy Martinez.
She is survived by brothers Santiago, Alex, and Robert Rivas, sisters Mary Morales, Lucia Castro, and Dolores Rivas daughters Sylvia Ann Roberts, Deborah Jo Luna, Isabel Jovanna Luna and partner Michelle Diaz sons Joe Daniel and wife Mary Esther, Ernest, Oscar and wife Margie, Adolph, Arnold, Xavier, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Serving as pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Funeral Service 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
