Gaby died at the age of 53 years. He was born in Austin, Texas to Gabriel Gutierrez, Jr. and Elida Renteria Gutierrez.He is survived by his father and stepmother Connie V. Gutierrez, grandmother Dora Torres, sisters Rebecca Saldana, Anita Cervantes, Teresa Gutierrez and Diana Gutierrez. Aunts Nancy Aleman, Flora Saenz, Vera Gonzales, and Marie Torres; Uncles Richard Torres and Tony Torres; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister JoAnn Gutierrez, mother Elida Renteria Gutierrez, paternal grandparents Gabriel Gutierrez, Sr. and Celestina ?Sally? Gutierrez and aunt Anita Torres. Gaby attended school at Dawson Elementary and Fulmore Jr. High and Travis High School. He was a carpenter and jack-of-all-trades. He loved deer hunting and fishing but most of all he loved being with family and friends to laugh and have a good time. He lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed. Pallbearers include Tino Saldana, Armando Martinez, Tony Torres, Albert Loera,Frank Cervantes and Joshua Franco. Honorary Pallbearers include James Lopez, Hector Saenz, Ben Aleman, Delfino Juarez. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m at Mission Funeral Home Remembrance Chapel located at 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010,at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
