Raymundo C. Salazar Sr., 82, of San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2009. Raymundo was born March 15, 1927 in Poth, TX. to Acacio and Panfila Salazar. He spent the majority of his life in Austin, TX and worked for Travis County for many years where he later retired.Raymundo enjoyed playing his guitar and accordion as a child as well as adulthood. Memories are all we have and what we will share with generations to come. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Raymundo was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margarita Salazar and three brothers Fermin Salazar, Domingo Salazar, and Samuel Salazar. Survived by his son, Raymundo Salazar, Jr.; 2 Sisters; Frances Alvarado from Austin and Josephine Rodriguez from San Antonio ; two grandchildren, Raymundo Salazar, Jr. III ? 13 and Ronnie Salazar-11 both of Austin and lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Rosary, Sunday at 6:00pm, Mission Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, Monday at 10:00am, Cristo Rey Church on Robert T. Martinez. Burial at Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymundo?s great nephews: Michael Vallejo, Isaac Vallejo, Danny Vallejo, Orlando Vallejo, Andrew Vallejo and Pete Vallejo. Raymundo?s son Raymundo Salazar Jr. and great nephew Lupe Vallejo will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
