Patricia Carroll Kouts Born: March 16, 1926, Dallas, Tx. Died: September 25, 2009, Austin, Tx. Pat is survived by her two children, daughter, Tracy Limon, son Joe Roddy III and wife Carol and grandson Michael Keffales, all of Austin. She was preceded in death by husbands Joe Roddy, Alex Limon, Alvin Kouts and daughter Stephanie Roddy. Pat was born and raised in Dallas, Tx. She attended University of Texas, the University of Mexico in Mexico City and graduated from Hollins University in Roanoke, Va. After graduating college, Pat lived in Kyoto, Japan and was one of the first civilians working in the post war occupation forces. Upon returning to the states, she became a stewardess for Braniff Airlines. While living in Mexico City, she fell in love with the Mexican culture that would last the rest of her life. Pat loved music, sailing, horseback riding, dancing, cooking, traveling, beading, gardening, and playing the piano. She was a beautiful, kind and gentle person. Pat was very loving, supportive, and encouraging. She was never judgmental, could talk to anyone and became a mother figure for many people. The family wishes to express a special thank you to, Dolores Chacon, Esther Hernandez, and Bertha Padilla, for their attentive and loving care they gave to Pat. We will miss our mother dearly, for there will never be another lady like her. Our lives were blessed to have her as our mother. There will be a rosary held Monday, September 28, 2009, 7:00 pm at Mission Funeral Home 6204 South First Street. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, 1:00 pm at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum 3650 S. IH 35.
