Emmett R. Hernandez March 3, 1928 ? August 14, 2009 Our beloved Emmett R. Hernandez, age 81, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 14, 2009.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Hernandez; children Jessie Gonzales (Victoria), Mary Escobedo(Tom), Faye Mendez (Maurilio), Vivian Esposito (Samuel), Rudy Hernandez (Katherine), Sonny Hernandez (Elizabeth), Nick Hernandez, Deborah West (John), Rosalinda Medrano (Robert) and Emily Rodriguez; 31 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren ; 1 great-grandchild; brothers Eugene Hernandez, Henry Hernandez, Dale Hernandez, Sal Hernandez and sister Mary Cisneros.
Family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street Austin, Texas 78745.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at Dolores Catholic Church 1111 Montopolis Drive Austin, Texas 78741 with Recitation of Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Hernandez will lie in state beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 105 Highway 1431 East in Marble Falls, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mario Mendez, Matthew Amen, Jesse Gonzales Jr., Rocky Mancias, Kelly Escobedo and Emmett Mancias.
