Our beloved Serapia Martinez, 88, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday May 16, 2009. Preceded in death by her Parents; Apolinar and Cruz P. Alvarado and One Son; Angel Martinez, Sisters; Tervicia Sandoval, Micaela Martinez, Brother; Cornelio Alvarado. Survived by her beloved Children; Johnny Martinez, Sr., Cruz Garcia, Grandchildren; Connie Anaya and husband Martin, David and wife Maria, Johnny Jr. and wife Melinda, Michael and wife Christine and Rosalinda Martinez, Larry Jr., Lori, and Sara Garcia, 24 Great-grandchildren and 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Recitation of Holy Rosary, Tuesday at 7:00pm in the Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Jamie Mathias officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Mike Jr., Christopher and Andrew Martinez, Larry Garcia, Jr., Alvin Castillo, John Albert and Michael Anaya and Jesse Sepulveda.
