Janie G. Perez December 27, 1936 ? April 18, 2009 Our beloved Janie G. Perez, age 72, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 18, 2009.
Mrs. Perez was a part of the staff for the past six years at T. A. Brown Elementary School were she was a cafeteria monitor. She enjoyed spending her time working with children and was known to many of them as Grandma. She is survived by her loving husband Delfino Perez; sons Danny Michael Perez and David Mark Perez; brothers Louis and wife Janie Guzman, David and wife Nora Guzman, Roy and Amporo Guzman, Joe and Janie Guzman; sisters Tonie Rodriguez and Alicia Phillips; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Levi and Tomasa Guzman; her loving grandmother Anita Rios and her beloved dog Chiquita.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Saturday at San Jose Catholic Church. Internment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
