Susie Romero Resendez September 5, 1919 ? March 24, 2009 Our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on March 24, 2009. Susie married Dave Resendez her devoted husband who preceded her in 1991 after 51 years of marriage. Together they were the proud owners of the Backdoor Restaurant where they served many politicians and celebrities. She is survived by her daughter Dolores Carlin and husband Joe; Granddaughters Lisa Tapia and Dianna ? Deedee? Carlin; Great- Grandsons Carlos and Jonathan Tapia; her sister Marie Hernandez (Fidel) and numerous nieces and nephews. Susie was preceded in death by her husband Odilon ?Dave? Resendez, and brother John Cantu. She was a special and unique woman who never met a stranger. She was our rock and our inspiration. We will truly miss her. Pallbearers will be her great grandsons Carlos and Jonathan Tapia; nephews Fidel Hernandez Jr., Joey Resendez, Ronnie Lopez and Joey Lopez.
