Katherine Dalton Heddleston February 1, 1930 ? March 7, 2009 Katherine Dalton Heddleston, age, 79 resident of Austin, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Katherine was born and raised in Grace, Idaho except for a short time when her family moved to Michigan. She graduated from Grace High School and later worked in Soda Springs, Idaho before serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served with great faith from May of 1953 to January of 1955 in the Southwest Indian Mission which covered parts of New Mexico and Arizona. Her time with the Navajo People was very rewarding for her. She met and married Thomas M. Heddleston while living in Tacoma, WA. They were married on September 19, 1958 and celebrated 50 years together on their last wedding anniversary. Although Katherine suffered from poor health she rarely complained. Her endurance to the end was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Katherine is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Thomas M. Heddleston; son Tracy Heddleston (Tami Mewis); daughter Beth Lambert (Bob); five grandchildren Ben, Rhiannon, Dalton, Scarlett and Hannah. They were a bright spot in her life and she loved them dearly. Several siblings also survive Katherine; Ruth Thomas (Keith), Gene Dalton (Shirley), Frances Stalder (Bill), and Beth Taylor (Allen); sisters-in-law Carol Arnspiger and Evelyn Neely; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Heddleston will lie in state at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday March 11, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 5201 Convict Hill Road. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Internment to follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Hill.
