Jesse Loya Prado Sr. October 28, 1938 ? March 7, 2009 Our beloved Jesse L. Prado Sr. , age 70, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dolores Prado.
Mr. Prado is survived by his beloved Josefa (Josie) Prado; sons Jesse Jr. (Norma),Tommy (Alicia); daughters Mary Esther (Ernesto), Vickie (Dale); grandchildren John Abel, Andrew, Delicia, Alyssa, Tommy, Danny, Adrian, Alexis, Marissa and Dale Jr.; great-granddaughter Leela; 3 brothers; 6 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Prado Jr., Tommy Prado, Joe Prado, Dale Herrera, Ernesto Gonzalez and Adrian Donaldson.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Abel Costilla, Andrew Costilla and David Trautwein.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Wellington Nursing Home in Temple, South Congress Care and Rehabilitation Center and Angel Heart Hospice for their loving care. We also would like to thank Dr. Camarrillo and his residents at Scott and White for their honesty and persistence.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1206 E. Ninth Street. Internment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
