Our beloved Martin S. Montez, 78, resident of Del Valle, Tx., was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 19, 2009. Mr. Montez served his country proudly and discharged honorably from the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survived by his Beloved Wife; Rosa V. Montez, 3 Loving Daughters; Janie Mendoza, Angelita Montez, Rita Pearson, 1 Brother; Patricio Montez, Jr., 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Parents; Patricio, Sr. and Angelita Montez, Brother; Joe Montez and one Sister; Mary Escamilla. Recitation of Holy Rosary on Sunday at 7:00pm at Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Francisco Villegas Mu?oz, OMF Conv. officiating. Internment will follow in Jones Cemetery in Webberville, Texas. Pallbearers will be members of the family.
