Raynaldo Lozano Leyendecker "Popo" Born October 6, 1931 in Bremond Texas to Jesus & Victoria Leyendecker Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus & Victoria Leyendecker, brother Melford Leyendecker, twin daughters Rosalie & Marilee Leyendecker, sons Jerry Lewis Leyendecker & Martin Leyendecker Sr.
Ray is survived by his wife of 55 years Esperanza Moreno Leyendecker, sons Ray Leyendecker Jr., Robert Leyendecker (Marjorie), Martin Leyendecker Jr. (Nancy), Isaac James Leyendecker (Adrianna) and Joe Manuel Leyendecker and brother Leonard Leyendecker (Olga);16 Grand children and 29 Great grand children.
He is a member of San Jose Catholic Church. He served in the Texas Army National Guard during the Korean era. He was employed by the City of Austin and retired in December 1988.
Pallbearers: Martin Leyendecker Jr., Isaac Leyendecker, Joe Leyendecker, Adam Leyendecker, Ray Scott Leyendecker, Christofer Rodriguez and Phillip Costilla.
He was very proud of his employment with the city of Austin. He loved working part time as a security guard. Everyone who knew Ray, knows he loved to tell stories of his fishing adventures and his security work. His favorite past time before and after retirement was fishing with his sons and grandsons.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Friday at San Jose Catholic Church 2435 Oak Crest. Internment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
