Jerri Almanza, wife, mother and crossing guard at Jerry Joslin Elementary School died Wednesday, January 21st, after a short illness. ?Ms. Jerri? had worked in the school district for 11 years. Jerri is survived by her husband Pete Almanza Jr., her daughter Savannah and sons Vincent and Preston of the home. Parents Patti Penny of Bentonville, AR and Wayne Davis of Wheatland, MO; Grandparents Norma and Lloyd Hand of Tecumseh, MO; a sister Ginger Bennett of Hernando, FL; a brother Jamey Shaver of Camarillo, CA; two aunts, two uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the community. We will be celebrating Jerri?s life with a gathering Sunday, January 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the park at Jerry Joslin Elementary with a balloon release and potluck. Please join us in remembering this special woman who touched the lives of so many young people.
