Liza Celina Saenz 1970-2008Our beloved daughter, sister and friend Liza Celina Saenz, 38 of Austin passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas. She was born on July 6, 1970 in Brownsville, Texas. After residing in Brownsville for over 26 years, she moved to Austin, Texas where she was employed with AT&T for over 11 years. She was preceded in death by her father Fidel Saenz Jr. of Brownsville; her paternal grandparents Fidel and Rebecca Saenz of Benavides; maternal grandparents Jesus and Idolina Escobedo of Brownsville. Liza is survived by her mother Marta Escobedo Saenz of Brownsville; her brother Fidel Saenz III of Corpus Christi; sister Laura Saenz LaCoste; brother-in-law Bill LaCoste of Austin; her loving dog Hugo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at DaVita Dialysis Center, the attending physicians, the ICU and IMC staff at Seton Medical Center on 38th Street for all their loving care. Special thanks to all her family, friends and co-workers for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Liza was a very loving and caring daughter, sister and friend. She always managed to gather the strength and courage to get through life despite her pervasive medical difficulties.
