Bernardo Rodriguez 1925-2008Bernardo (Ben) Rodriguez,Sr. 83 of Del Valle was born on August 20, 1925 in Del Valle, Texas.
He passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at St. David?s Hospital.
Mr. Rodriguez was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters and son-in-law Abel.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Ysabel of Del Valle; son Ben Jr. and wife Stella of Kyle; daughters Marie, Yolanda and husband Robert, Gloria and Elizabeth of Austin; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers; three sisters and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors at the Pulmonary and Critical Care of Austin and all the St. David?s ICU nurses and staff.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Monday at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church 9110 U.S. Highway 183 South. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Mendoza, Texas.
