Pedro Baez, age 78, resident of Austin, TX passed away on Friday, May 19, 2000. Pedro grew up in Puerto Rico and as an adult moved to New York. After having a family he moved to Puerto Rico. After the death of his wife, he moved to Austin, Texas to be near his youngest sons. Pedro loved meeting and talking to people about the Lord?s word. He always had a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his wife Leonor Delgado, his parents, 3 Brothers, 5 Sisters, and one grandson Pedro Juan Baez. He is survived by; sons Alberto Baez and wife Lunilda of New York, Santos Baez of Puerto Rico, Pedro Juan Baez and wife Norma of Puerto Rico, Edwin Baez and wife Connie of Austin, TX, Juan Baez and wife Patricia of Georgetown, TX; daughter Jinny Baez Bigio and husband Justo of Puerto Rico; grandchildren Melissa Vanveroord and husband Steven, Karen Correra and husband Ralph, Elizabeth Baez, Karen Baez, all of New York, Justo Luis Bigio and wife Nilda, Coraly Bigio and husband Manuel Gonzalez, Lojena Baez, Angelina Baez, all of Puerto Rico, Steven N. Baez and Michael E. Baez of Austin, TX. Patrick A. Baez, Joanne B. Baez, and Jacklyn P. Baez all of Georgetown, TX; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and many friends. The family would like to thank the great nurses and staff at Spring Seasons Nursing Home for taking very good care of our Dad. Prayer Services will be held Monday at 7:00pm at Mission Funeral Home.
