Our beloved Mr. Pete H. Hernandez, age 89, a longtime resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 18, 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife Tiburcia T. Hernandez, 2 sons, Pete Jr. and James Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez is survived by children, Maria H. Saldana, Joseph T. Hernandez and wife Nannouska, Jesse T. Hernandez, all of Austin, Anselma H. Trividad and husband Israel, of San Antonio; sister Macedonia H. Arguello, of Slaton, TX. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews. The Family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude towards our family, friends, Hospice Austin & Staff, Dr. Kim Galusha, Chaplin Dick Hardin, Rose Walls RN, Charlotte Sharrett, Dick Phillips, for the love care and Prayers given during our beloved fathers illness. Recitation of rosary Sunday, 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 2pm at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Edward, Dario Daniel Gonzales, Mark and Albert Trinidad, Jose Jaime Hernandez, Nicolas Garcia, and Frank Hernandez.
