Raul Navarro February 3, 1975- September 17, 2008Our beloved Raul Navarro, age 33, resident of Austin, was called into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 after a courageous battle against cancer.
Mr. Navarro is survived by his loving wife Teresa Mendez Navarro; children Steven Pickwell, Alyssa Pickwell and Yesenia Navarro; mother Rosario Arely Navarro; grandmother Maria Engracia Espinosa brothers Roberto D. J. Navarro and Lolys, Miguel Angel Navarro and Alma, Roel Navarro and Santa, Fernando Patlan; nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father Roberto Navarro.
There are no words that can describe the void that is left by his passing. Raul was a remarkable man who had many wonderful qualities and touched so many people?s lives, just as they touched his. He was a great and loving husband. A wonderful father that enjoyed spending time with his children and making those special memories with them that will last a lifetime. Raul was a good friend to all who knew him. We are all truly blessed to have had Raul as a part of our lives and we will miss him with all our hearts.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Friday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South). Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Saturday at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church 126 W. Oltorf street. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery 3650 South I.H. 35.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roberto Navarro, Miguel Angel Navarro, Roel Navarro, Roberto Navarro Jr., Steven Pickwell and Frank Mendez Jr.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to all those who have offered their support and prayers during this most difficult time. A special thanks to our friends and the nurses and doctors at the Shivers Center, Brackenridge and Hospice.
