Maria de la luz Cerda Jurado 1943- 2008 Our beloved Maria de la luz Cerda Jurado, age 65, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 23, 2008. Mrs. Jurado is survived by her loving husband Jesse Castro Jurado; children Elias and wife Laurie, Jesse Manuel, Monica and husband Tony, Diane and husband Mario, Matthew, Peggy, John David and wife Leticia, Steve and wife Rachel; brother Jose Cerda and wife Yolanda; sister Maria Guadalupe Cerda and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents Felix Cerda and Eloisa Lopez Cerda and sister Maria de Jesus Cerda Campos. Prayer Service 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Elias, Jesse, John, Elias Samuel Jurado, Ray Alexander Jurado, Jonathan Jurado, Jesse Manuel Jurado Jr. and Tony Xavier Martinez. To my wife words from my heart, I wish you could hear. I am very grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ that he had you destined to be my wife for forty years and give us a family through you. Eight children were given to us and with the love that only a mother can have. You raised them in the way of the Lord. You were a blessing to me and our children with the God given love that lived in your heart. You lived by my side and you brought me to the Lord.
