JOE ?JOEY? CANCINO October 25, 1964 ? August 15, 2008 Joe ?Joey? Cancino, a beloved son, grandson, partner, cousin and friend passed into the loving arms of our heavenly father on Friday, August 15th after a fatal car accident. Joey was a strong, but gentle and compassionate soul who overcame all of life?s obstacles with courage and a strong mental attitude. He truly loved life, and lived it to its fullest. He was an accomplished cosmetologist who loved his profession and worked in several major hair salons. Joey?s life revolved around his partner, his family and his clients. He spoke with his mother daily, and although he had no children he loved kids and enjoyed playing with his numerous cousins upon every opportunity. Joey?s other passion was his three cats Trixie, Tabitha and Trey, whom he lovingly referred to and treated as his ?kids?. Joey?s absence will leave a void in our hearts that cannot be filled, yet we are grateful for the love and joy he brought to our lives. Joey leaves to cherish his memory, his Mother Janie Oshiro, his Dad Henry Oshiro; his brother Michael Oshiro; his Partner Eric Merrifield, his Grandmother Sally Garza and numerous aunts, uncles and a bevy of cousins, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Joe Cancino, Sr., his aunt, Liz Hernandez and his Cousin, Angela Hernandez. The Family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Jack Bissett and Leo Drobnic for maintaining Joey?s quality of life for all of us to enjoy.
