Our beloved Ruben Sontoya Aleman, went to be with our Lord on July 24, 2008. He was born to Josefina and Fausto Aleman on March 13, 1935. Ruben fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and dementia. This great, wonderful, kind hearted, gentle man, our hero! He will be greatly missed by his Wife; Fellis Aleman, their Children; Ruben, Jr and Angie Aleman, Robert and Mary Lou Aleman, Rebecca Aleman, Rachel Aleman(Carlos), Yolanda and Martin Limon and Edward Aleman, 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Parents and 2 Sisters, Frances Hernandez and Olivia Aleman, survived by his Siblings; Marcela Limon, Fel Colunga, Berta Cantu, Mike, Ben, Johnnie and Abel Aleman. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice, A.P.D., T.C.S. and all who always treated Ruben with dignity and respect. Mr. Aleman will lie in state for visitation on Sunday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Recitation of Holy Rosary on Monday at 7:00pm at St. Julia?s Catholic Church, 3010 Lyons Road. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 2:00pm at St. Julia?s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Christopher Ferrer officiating. Internment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
