Our beloved Gilberto ?Mean Cat? Lopez, age 60, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 21, 2000.He is survived by beloved wife of 39 years Rosa G. Lopez of Austin; sons, Robert Lopez Sr. and wife Yolanda E. Lopez of San Antonio, Jerry Lopez of Austin; sisters, Carmen Mendoza of Austin, Delia Balles of San Antonio, Josephine Lopez and Mary Saucedo both of Austin. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, two brothers, and one sister. The Lopez family wish to extend their gratitude to Dr. Karim Nioti, Nurses and Staff of Hospice Austin Christophers House for the love and care given to Mr. Lopez during his illness. Recitation of rosary Sunday, 7pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday 1:00pm at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate.
