Patrick Michael Zollo February 7, 1973 - March 14, 2008Beloved husband and best friend of Kim Cassidy Zollo; cherished son of James Zollo (?Z?) and the late Cissy Zollo; dearest son-in-law, stepson, nephew, cousin; devoted friend. Patrick passed away after a brief illness and stay in St. David?s Medical Center, Austin. During his final days he displayed the same quiet courage that graced him throughout life. He left the world surrounded by the love of friends and family. While Patrick was ?gifted? in size, he was the very gentlest of souls. He touched many lives, and will always be remembered for his generosity and concern for others. Adored by his cousins, Patrick?s presence was unmistakable when all were together, and the younger ones actually called him ?Large Patrick?. He was ?The Boy? to his many friends, and he will always be Kim?s ?Big Sweetie?. Patrick was part of a lifelong group of friends in Austin; most dear to him were the five that served as groomsmen at his wedding: Raymond Day, Chuck Girard, Brian Evans, Trey Derbes, and Clayton Bullock. These young men describe Patrick as bighearted, happy, selfless and giving; a caretaker and protector. They were all thrilled for their friend when Kim brought such joy into his life. Patrick?s love for Kim and her devotion to him have been unwavering and inspirational. Even during the most trying moments of Patrick?s illness, Kim never left his side. Her wonderful and supportive family - like her network of dedicated friends - are heartbroken for her loss, as are Patrick?s friends and relatives. A celebration of Patrick?s life will take place at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street on Monday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. David?s Community Health Foundation, 811 Barton Springs Road, #600, Austin, Texas 78704.
