Devonta Quintez Morris February 2, 1990 - February 2, 2008Devonta Q. Morris Our beloved son, brother, and friend Devonta Q. Morris age 18, went home to our loving father on February 2, 2008. He is survived by his parents, Tami Allen, Demetrius and Erma Morris; siblings, Demetrius Morris Jr., Andrea Edwards, Danielle Tinker, Jennifer Walls, and Venessa Walls; brother-in-law, Neil Edwards; nephews, James and Michael Kirkland; and many grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Devonta had a passion for music more old school than new and we will all miss him dancing and singing out of tune. Devonta attend Akins high School and had hopes of attending Hutson-Tillotson University this fall to major in computer science, because of this the family is asking that in place of flowers, gifts, or cards that contributions be made to the scholarship fund that has been set up in his name. The family hopes that they will be able to help out another young adult wanting to attend HTU with these contributions. Contributions can be made at any Bank of America location: Devonta Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund or can be mailed to 4616 Norman Trl Austin, TX 78749. A memorial will be held at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (South) on Thursday February 7th at 7:00 p.m. Burial services will be in Anniston, Alabama on Saturday February 9th.
