J.D. Ross 1936-2008 JD Ross, age 71, resident of Austin, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. JD was a truck driver for Serta Mattress Company for 37 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Loretta Perez Ross; son Johnny Dennon Ross of Abilene, TX.; step-son Paul Perez; step-daughter Pauline Perez Listz; brothers Billy Ross and wife Barbara of Corpus Christi, TX., Bob (Red) Ross and wife Mandy of Elgin, TX.; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to South Austin Hospital doctors and nurses for their outstanding care during his final days and hours; and for their sensitivity to family members who were present there. The family would also like to thank Debby Ross for her valuable insight and assistance during his final days and hours. A Formal Visitation will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South). The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South). Pastor Jody Mayes will officiate. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Paul Perez, Aaron Ross, Hipolito Guerrero, Little JD Ross, Arlie Ray Carnline, Ted Flores Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Sanders and Christopher Ross
