Beatrice Sanchez Vargas 1918-2008Our Mother, Beatrice Sanchez Vargas passed away peacefully Sunday January 27, 2008. Mom was blessed with a generous heart which she shared with her family and all who knew her. She was Born in Creedmoor, Texas, September 2, 1918 to Antonio Sanchez and Juanita Deolloz Sanchez who preceded her in death, also preceded in death by her husband's Remijio Marquez, Sr. and Manuel Vargas, Sr., her brothers Gilberto Sanchez, Willie Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez, her sisters Julia Rodriguez, Guadalupe Marciel, Elisa Martinez, Regina Lara, and her daughter Victoria Espinoza. Survivors include her sister, Herminia Pena, and brother Pedro Sanchez, and her children, Marcos Marquez (Lanita) of Altus, Oklahoma, Helen Villarreal (Juan), Lupe Gonzales (Jessie), Remijio Marquez, Jr. (Dolly), Tony Marquez, Mario Marquez of San Francisco, California, and Sylvia Marquez, 30 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 18 great-great granchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Special gratitude to her daughter Sylvia Marquez, sons, and daughters for the exemplary care provided to her these last few years. Thanks to the staff of Seton Hospital, Hospice Austin's Christopher House. Visitation begins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 29, 2008 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. Rosary 7:00 p.m. Tuesday January 29, 2008 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Wednesday January 30, 2008, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. Ninth Street, Austin, Texas. Interment Assumption Cemetary. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jose Espinosa, Jr., Jay Villarreal, Jesse Garcia of Florida, Paul Michael Marquez of Wilton Iowa, Antonio Espinoza, and Dominick Marquez. Honorary pallbearers her grandsons Michael Marquez, Orlando Espinoza, Marcos Marquez, Jr.
