Obituary of Manuel Mendez

Please share a memory of Manuel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Manuel Mendez 1954 - 2006Manuel Mendez was called upon our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, in Austin, Texas at the age of 52. Manuel would like for all family and friends to know he was a believer and was going home where he will not suffer no more. He is now with our Heavenly Father smiling, laughing, and singing with joy. So be at peace, he would say; "For I am". He had friends and family everywhere in Austin. Anyone who knew him knows how outgoing, friendly and giving person he was. Manuel would always greet you with a Big Smile. He loved fishing, plants, painting, music, and Texas Longhorns. He is greatly missed and never forgotten. Everyday we will carry memories of him in our hearts forever. Survivors include daughters LeaAnn, Amanda, and Aracely Mendez, mother and father Antonia and Jesus Mendez, loving girlfriend Julie Balderas, all brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins of the Mendez family. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Sunday October 8, 2006 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. There will be formal visitation from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday October 8, 2006. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Monday October 9, 2006 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel.
