Our beloved Gonzalo R. Riojas, Sr., age 90, a resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 14, 2006. Preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Geronima Riojas, 2 Granddaughters, Adelita Martinez and Kelly Garcia, 6 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Survived by his beloved Children; Eloisa Colunga, Elida Garcia, Gonzalo Riojas, Jr., Elisa Riojas, Ernesto Riojas, Pauline Castillo, Eugenia Alvarez, Enriqueta Balderas, Mary Ann Carmona, Pete Riojas, 18 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Recitation of Rosary Wednesday at 7:00pm, Remembrance Chapel-Mission Funeral Home(Cesar Chavez). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Jesse Euresti officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers; Steven Riojas, Derek Garcia, Michael Carmona, Pete Riojas, Jr., Santiago Riojas, Eric Garcia, James Colunga and Joe Martinez.
