No longer will we hear her cheer on her Longhorns or her Cowboys, or any team for that matter, but we know that she will be Hookin? em from the big stadium in the sky.

Rosie was an avid reader, a quintessential sports enthusiast, and a passionate, fun-loving woman. She had a bounce in her step and an indescribable amount of enthusiasm. She loved her family, her sports, her dogs, her work, her Law & Order episodes, and her shopping. Not only did Rosie work for AT&T for thirty-five years, but she was also one of but a few Hispanic women to reach management levels in the 1960s--she was a trailblazer. Her career with AT&T began here in Austin, then lead her to San Antonio, Texas, then to McAllen, Texas, and finally to El Paso, Texas, where she retired in 2004. Never one to stay idle, Mom began a new career as a realtor at JB Goodwin Realtors. Even though she had to learn an entirely new field, she loved the challenge that this new stage in her life brought her. Even if it meant manning an open-house where nobody stopped by, she never let that discourage her. She just looked on to the next task. Her colleagues at JB Goodwin describe her as ever helpful and supportive, a take-charge kind of person. She was at her best when she was ?talking shop??you could just see her eyes light up as she talked about a new listing or a new lease. That?s our Mom!
