He was preceded in death by parents Jose Maria ?Jim? Sanchez and Anselma Sanchez; brothers Cruz G. Sanchez, Jose ?Joe? G. Sanchez, Ezekiel ?Zeke? G. Sanchez, Julio, G. Sanchez; sister Anselma Sanchez Riojas and grandson baby Angel Sanchez.
He was the owner and founder of Moe & Sons Trucking, now known as USA Trucking.
After having proudly served his country in the U.S. Army he married and raised a large family. Despite many obstacles in his life, Moe went back to school to continue his education. He received his high school diploma and also a 2 year college degree. He instilled in his family how important it was to continue their education.
His strong faith in God led him to live his life to the fullest and he instilled his faith in all his children. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and was generous to those less fortunate. He was an inspiration to everybody who knew him.
His skill and love for the game of Golf was also something he passed onto his sons and grandsons. He was a founding member of PAN-AM Golf Association.
He is survived by beloved wife Patsy Sanchez; sons Moe Patrick Sanchez, Jim Ben Sanchez and wife Mary Alice Sanchez, Jesse Sanchez; daughters Syndy Green, Lia Rodriguez and husband Manuel Rodriguez Jr., Guadalupe Sanchez, Frances Hernandez and husband Johnny Hernandez; sister Dolores Mayo; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street.
Friday, Lie in State at 9:00 a.m. at Dolores Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 a.m. at Dolores Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Moe Timothy Sanchez, Moe Jim Sanchez, Raul Jim Sanchez, Manuel Moe Rodriguez, Isaac Rene Rodriguez and John Paul Hernandez.
Honorary pallbearers are Gilbert Deleon, Steve Montague, Felix Agosto, Richard Delgado, Raul Arce and Jack Salazar.
