Olivia Marrero-Lee, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great- grandmother, friend and pastor was born July 20, 1941, and was called to our Lord on December 30, 2005, in Austin, Texas, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.Olivia Marrero-Lee, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great- grandmother, friend and pastor was born July 20, 1941, and was called to our Lord on December 30, 2005, in Austin, Texas, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Olivia was an ordained minister and the Pastor of Gethsemane Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Petra Marrero.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Allen Lee; daughter, Cynthia Marie Pineda and husband, Willian of Houston, Texas; daughter, Veronica Lynn Hadderton and husband Henry of Pflugerville, Texas; daughter, Grace Renee Martinez and husband Ricardo of Austin, Texas; son, Samuel Craig Martinez and wife Sonia of Del Valle, Texas; and son, Abel Dean Martinez and wife Emilia of Del Valle, Texas.
She is survived by ten grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Olivia is also survived by one sister, Mary Guerra; and four brothers, Jesse Marrero, David Marrero, Fernando Marrero and Abel Marrero.
The family will receive friends and family for the Funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2006, in the Mission Funeral Home at 6204 South First Street, Austin. The service will be officiated by Pastor Phil Woods.
Service and interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Mission Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.
The family expresses thanks to all her friends, neighbors, caregivers, and the incredible and wonderful staff at Hospice Austin's Christopher House, and to Dr. John Sandbach and Dr. Emily Sanbach for all their care and endless support.
Pallbearers will be Brian Guerra, Gerald Guerra, James Guerra, Brandon Watts, Abel Marrero, and Sammy Marrero.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Gallegos, Mark Gallegos and Erik Ramos.
