On Christmas Day, while surrounded by his loving family, our beloved Natividad Hernandez of Cedar Creek, Texas, joyously celebrated 95 blessed years of life on this earth. On Tuesday, December 27, 2005, angels embraced him and carried him home to our Heavenly Father. On Tuesday, December 27, 2005, angels embraced him and carried him home to our Heavenly Father. Natividad was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Savina Hernandez and daughters Carmen Alcocer Bazaco and Oralia H. Flores. He is survived by sons Lawrence Hernandez and wife Sylvia of Cedar Creek, Texas, Rick Hernandez and wife Barbara of Bastrop, Texas, son-in-law Estanislado Flores of Austin, Texas, daughters Cipriana Moncivais and Felix Martinez of Round Rock, Texas, Hortencia Gutierrez and husband John of Marble Falls, Texas, Rachael Vanderhoff and husband Jim of Washington D.C., Julia Garcia and husband Rudy of Austin, Texas, Gloria Retiz of Austin, Texas, 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Recitation of rosary Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (south). Viewing Friday 9:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church Rev.Joseph Tomei, CSC will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers: Richard Hernandez, Ray Garcia, Louis Moncivais, Cristian Alcocer, Frances Dembowski and Lillie Flores. Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Moncivais and Kathy Garcia Natividad was known for his radiant smile, his love for his family, and his desire to live life to its fullest. He enjoyed spending time with family and with friends at home and at Leon's Country Store in Rockne, Texas. What a blessing it was to have him with us for 95 years. We will forever embrace his love and cherish his fond memory. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
