Our beloved Damacia Mendez De Los Santos, age 79, was called home by our Savior on Thursday October 20, 2005.Damacia Mendez De Los Santos God's Garden God Looked around his garden, And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, And lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful-he always takes the best. He Knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain; He knew you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And hills were hard to climb; So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone, For a part of us went with you, The day God called you home. Our beloved Damacia Mendez De Los Santos, age 79, was called home by our Savior on Thursday October 20, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents Diego and Felipa Mendez; her husband Miguel De Los Santos Sr.; and son Albert De Los Santos Sr. Mrs. De Los Santos is survived by her children Elida Torrez, Michael De Los Santos Jr., Terry Hernandez (Jose), Sally Lopez (David), Adolph De Los Santos Sr., Alice Tonche (Guillermo), Eva Robledo, Margaret Maldonado, Rick De Los Santos (Monica), Linda Martinez (Oscar Dominguez), Mary Alice Cruz (Toby), Laura Guerrero and Anthony Tovar (Talina) ; special family friend Shirley Sharpe-Martinez; 43 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Odessey Hospice for their kindness and support. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons John, Lupe, Mark, and Adolph Jr. De Los Santos, Andrew Martinez Jr., and Roy Guzman III. Recitation of rosary will be Sunday October 23, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (south). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday October 24, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
