Preceded in death by children Marcelo, Robert and Ophelia Navarro; brothers Ernest and Jose Guadalupe Padilla. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Minnie Padilla; son Vincent Padilla wife Nelda; daughters Cynthia Padilla- Gonzales husband Joe; Rachael Padilla-Torres; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; also brothers Tony Padilla, Juan Padilla, Frank Padilla, Andrew Padilla & Fidel Padilla all of Victoria, TX.; Carlos Padilla & Lupe Padilla of Colorado; Paul Padilla & Jesse Padilla of Houston; Lucy Garcia (hermana de creanza) Victoria,TX. Vincent at a young age entered the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and then went on to serve our country honorably during WWII. He was a hard working loving husband and father who was self employed as a contractor in excavating and hauling. ?A Dad like no other? He will truly be missed. Recitation of the holy rosary Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (south). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 1:00 p.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church. Rev. John Boiko will officiate. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
