Our beloved Jose Garcia, 83, a resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2005. Preceded in death by Beloved Wife, Maria Elena D. Garcia, Son; Jose Luis Garcia and a Daughter; Herlinda Garcia. Survived by his Beloved Children; Ramona Gonzales, Delia Curiel, Mary Reyes, Clemente Garcia, Roy Garcia, Mario Garcia, Pedro Garcia and Oscar Garcia, 3 Brothers; Adan Garcia, Raul Garcia and Fidencio Garcia. 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren survive him.
Recitation of Holy Rosary Monday 7:30p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel-Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. to officiate. Committal services will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his family members.
Dad, He taught me to carry myself with dignity in difficult times and humility in successful time. He taught me to have faith in myself and to be a faithful friend, perhaps most important of all he taught me that courage was about hope, compassion and hard work. Roy
