Survivors include: beloved wife Gloria Hernandez Retiz; father Santiago Retiz of Victoria, TX; sisters Mary Helen and Johnny Gonzales and Lucille and Mario Garcia of Victoria, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by mother Dolores (Lola) Retiz; brothers Leonard Retiz, James Retiz, and Frank Retiz.
Recitation of rosary Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (South).
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Tomei, CSC will officiate. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Louis Gonzales, Isaac Martinez, Anthony Gaytan, Ray Anthony Garcia, Joe Garza, Cristian Alcocer.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Moncivais and Louis Moncivais.
